Quantity Surveyor
A growing privately owned housebuilder delivering high-quality, thoughtfully designed homes across the South West. With ambitious expansion plans, are now looking for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join the team and support the successful delivery of residential developments.
The Role
Reporting to the director, you will take responsibility for managing the financial performance of multiple housing projects from initial design through to completion. Your focus will be on cost planning, subcontract procurement, financial control, and ensuring developments are delivered within budget while maintaining build quality and compliance standards.

The Role
Reporting to the director, you will take responsibility for managing the financial performance of multiple housing projects from initial design through to completion. Your focus will be on cost planning, subcontract procurement, financial control, and ensuring developments are delivered within budget while maintaining build quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across live developments
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, valuations, and payment processes
- Monitor and control project expenditure, including variations and risk allowances
- Support design development to ensure commercial viability
- Produce regular cost reports and attend commercial and site meetings
- Ensure compliance with current building regulations and warranty provider requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding
- Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and subcontract management
- Commercially astute with excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Confident communicator, able to build effective working relationships
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
