Senior Estimator – Residential Development (Birmingham)


We’re looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a successful housing development business based in the South West Midlands. Reporting to the Director, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate estimates, development appraisals and detailed cashflows across a range of multi-tenure residential schemes.


You’ll bring strong experience from a housebuilder or residential contracting, with a solid understanding of key KPIs such as ROCE, Peak Funds and immediate cash requirements. This role involves close collaboration with land, technical and commercial teams to ensure schemes remain viable from bid stage through to start on site.


What you’ll need to apply for the senior estimator role:

• Proven experience estimating residential developments, including multi-tenure schemes
• Elemental Bills of Quantities with all major infrastructure works
• Strong cashflow and appraisal expertise (Excel and Coins)
• Background in housebuilding or residential contracting
• Ability to manage stakeholders, deadlines and multiple schemes
• Confident communicator with a collaborative, value-driven approach

Desirable:


Bluebeam experience, Homes England tenures, Midlands residential market knowledge.
