We’re representing a leading consultancy looking to expand its environmental and infrastructure planning division with a Flood Risk Consultant in their Southampton office.

You’ll support the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) strategies, and drainage design for development and regeneration schemes.

The Role:

• Preparing flood risk assessments and drainage strategies for planning applications
• Supporting senior consultants on SuDS design and feasibility studies
• Using GIS, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modelling software
• Liaising with local authorities, developers, and other stakeholders

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
• 1–3 years’ experience in flood risk or drainage consultancy
• Strong understanding of SuDS principles and relevant legislation
• Excellent written and analytical skills

The Package:

• £30,000 – £38,000 DOE
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
