This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with design coordination or technical experience who is ready to progress into a management role.
The Role
As an Assistant Design Manager, you’ll support senior managers in coordinating and overseeing the design process on projects ranging from £10m to £100m. Working across sectors such as Education, Leisure, Transport, Commercial, Residential, and Public Sector facilities, you’ll gain exposure to complex, high-value projects and develop the skills to become a future Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with managing the design process to ensure outputs meet project goals, specifications, and budgets.
 - Support in the appointment and coordination of consultants.
 - Help develop and monitor design programmes to align with project milestones.
 - Attend and contribute to design team meetings, following up on action points.
 - Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
 - Work with the team to deliver cost-effective and innovative design solutions.
 
- We’re looking for someone ambitious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
 
- Experience in a design, technical, or coordination role within construction.
 - Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
 - A good understanding of building regulations and design processes.
 - Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
 - A proactive attitude and willingness to take on responsibility.
 - Relevant driving licence
