We’re working with a top-tier consultancy who are growing their Cardiff team with the addition of a Civil Engineer.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong foundation in drainage and highways, with the ambition to grow in a highly supportive, design-led environment.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

 

• Designing levels, drainage, SuDS, highways, and external works for a wide range of building-led developments
• Working on residential, commercial, regeneration, and public sector schemes
• Producing detailed designs and submission packages for S278, S38, S104, S185, SAB approvals, and more
• Creating earthworks models, technical reports, condition surveys, and drainage strategies
• Coordinating with architects, design teams, contractors, and approving authorities
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to project reviews and delivery
• Taking part in client meetings, site visits, and team collaboration sessions

 

What We’re Looking For:           


 

• Degree-qualified with consultancy experience in infrastructure or civil design
• Comfortable working across drainage, highways, and 3D modelling
• Proficient with AutoCAD and InfoDrainage – experience with Civil 3D a bonus
• Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail
• Good understanding of industry guidance and approvals (SAB, S278, S104 etc.)
• Someone who thrives in a design-led, multi-disciplinary environment
